Mode of Action
- Fatty acid synthesis inhibitor, by inhibition of acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACCase)
- Absorbed by leaves and rapidly translocated within the plants and accumulate in meristematic tissues
- Synthesis of fatty acids/lipids ceases in 48 hours

- Controls annual grassy weeds
- Its Half-life period in soil is short hence no effect on succeeding crops
- Yellowing of weed leaves in 7-14 days and completely drowns in 14-21 days
